Dubai nightlife is Dubai’s claim to fame – this city has something for errryone! Here is a quick overview of some of my fav lounges in Dubai due to its unbeatable music or quirky decks or just a good vibe!

The New & Improved Toko Downtown – I have loved Toko from the day it opened – some of the best Asian cuisine in my neighborhood and I have been waiting for the restaurant to reopen for the longest time! I honestly couldn’t figure out why it even closed down but whoaaaa was I in for a surprise at the new version! The whole layout has changed from formal dining to a casual lounge with a MASSIVE outdoor area surrounded by lush greens! The new & improved version of Toko is adding uber coolness to the Downtown District yaaas!

Steigenberger hotel – How and when did this hotel ever open up!? I am honestly losing count of the hotels popping up every month in my neighborhood! The first time I heard of it was when I received the invite for their first anniversary party! Waaaat! And it is located in the heart of Business Bay – 5 minutes from home!

The party was held at The Backyard by Swim & Tonic in the hotel, which was a garden terrace (in the literal sense) overlooking the bay. I felt like I was back at Ripe Market in the Creekside Park – picnic benches, a tree in the middle of the lounge, fake grass carpet, a food truck and even a white picket fence! Also the graffiti on the walls and the DJ booth in the front of a truck was actually pretty cool! Perfect weather timing to discover this lush secret for weekends!

Somewhere hotel – I had to reread the invite to double check if I got the venue wrong but hey there actually is a hotel named ‘Somewhere’ Obvs I had to go check it out! Located in the heart of Barsha Heights (previously known as Tecom), this is a four star contemporary hotel catering mainly to the tourists from the Middle East who prefer a central location that is not too expensive on the pocket.

We popped in to dine at Nay, the hotel’s main dining restaurant, for a set menu dinner. Hands down some of the best risotto I have tasted in a long time, also don’t miss out on the caramelized pear with Lemon tart if you are up for experimenting with your palettes!

We then slid over to The Clavichord to continue the night, which is a music lounge with live band right down the hallway from Nay. Definitely order the strawberry margarita and the bar also makes some really great cocktails!
