Keep Calm & Sparkle with Swarovski this AW16
We are all only too familiar with the brand Swarovski. The Austrian brand was founded more than 120 years ago and the craftsmanship is inevitable in every single piece of jewelry created by them.
What some of us may not be familiar with however is that in 2007, Atelier Swarovski was launched to collaborate with world’s leading designers from a range of creative fields including fashion, jewelry, architecture and design to create luxury jewelry and accessories. Some of the popular collabs in the past include the likes of Mary Katranzou, Maison Margiela, and Frederikson Stallard.
This year Atelier Swarovski unveils Autumn/Winter 2016 collections with Peter Pilotto, Rosie Assoulin, Jean Paul Gaultier and Ye Mingzi, and an evolution of the Core Collection. The collection is a strong, artistic expression of crystal, and this latest evolution finds such harmonious interplay between the crystal, the resin and the metal.
In addition to the amazing jewelry line above, Swarovski also launched Atelier Swarovski Home (yaaaaaaaaaas) that will cater to luxury home accessories in collaboration with international designers and emerging talents. This year includes Aldo Bakker, Fredrikson Stallard, Kim Thomé, Tomás Alonso, Tord Boontje and the late Zaha Hadid.
